Heritage Renewal

For several years the Center for Heritage Renewal has been collecting material on fall suppers of the northern plains, the effort driven by the potential of these events as elements in the heritage tourism landscape. The collection of fall supper data is incorporated into the assignments for HIST 431: The North American Plains.

In addition, in recent months the center has begun to invest TripAdvisor, the leading online travel advisor, with content pertaining to North Dakota. This began through the center's ongoing relationship with the Tri County Tourism Alliance, which is working to promote Emmons, McIntosh, and Logan counties as a tourism destination based on German-Russian culture.
